SwanHildur lives in Forest Row in East Sussex. She has her studio in an annex to her house. She is married to Haraldur Erlendsson who is a psychiatrist. They have three grown up children.

The family moved to England from Iceland in 1991, SwanHildur to study sculpture at Emerson College of Art and Haraldur to study neurology and psychiatry. They are now settled in this country and enjoying the Ashdown Forest.
